2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata to Receive New Sandy Paint Option

The 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata will receive an all-new exteiror paint color option called Zircon Sand Metallic. While the compact sports car has not received any new updates in a while, Mazda has not forgotten about its iconic Miata. The Japanese automaker recently modified the MX-5 Miata to allow those with disabilities to drive the sports car. Mazda also improved the Miata’s body roll using its rear suspension and added a 6-speed manual transmission. Although these were not significant changes, they improved the overall handling and control of the Miata. Lately, Mazda has been focused on electric and hybrid vehicles. While many enthusiasts were eager to hear more news about the iconic sports car, unfortunately, the new color option is the only new update for the MX-5 Miata. Though this is a bit disappointing, Mazda did add some new changes to the luxury coupe in the past several years so those who haven’t driven the 2023 Mazda MX-5 are in for some fun.

The 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata arrives with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that delivers 181 horsepower and 151lb-ft of torque. This is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that has precise forward ratios that ensure maintained momentum. The coupe has also been upgraded with better body control and a new braking system that is aided by Kinematic Posture Control (KCP). This unique system applies a small amount of brake force to the inside rear wheel when cornering. This provides owners with more stability and control when cornering. 

Those interested in the 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata can find theirs today at an MSRP of $29,325 (plus destination fee). While Mazda has raised the pricing for the Miata and its trims, the price is well worth it for the coupe’s unmatched performance. Other trims like the Club and Grand Touring see slight price hikes as well, but they feature packages like the BBS and Recaro which add additional styling elements. They also feature wheel and brake upgrades. Overall, the MX-5 Miata continues to be an iconic sports car with impressive performance and handling.
