Both engines come paired with a six-speed automatic transmission as well as Mazda’s new all-wheel drive. Mazda has also upgraded the suspension and chassis which has made the CX-5 feel more nimble and agile.

It also offers 58 cubic feet of storage space with the seats folded down.

The Mazda CX-5 features active safety features like forward-collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring. There’s also lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-traffic alerts. The base 2022 Mazda CX-5 starts at an MSRP of $26,250 (plus destination fee) while the highest trim, the Turbo Signature, starts at an MSRP of $39,000 (plus destination fee).
