2022 Mazda CX-5 To Receive Standard All-Wheel Drive and New Styling
Mazda is updating one of its best-selling models, the Mazda CX-5. Mazda will be replacing the front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive. The automaker will also be updating the styling of the compact SUV. Mazda has always been known for its aesthetic vehicles like the Mazda Vision Coupe. Although the automaker has been focused on bringing electric vehicles to consumers, it doesn’t mean it can’t provide its consumers with the latest technology and visuals. Mazda CX-5 Gets Standard All-Wheel Drive
Mazda will be replacing the front-wheel-drive system in the 2022 Mazda CX-5 with an all-wheel drive. This will also go for all future CX-5 models as they will come installed with Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel-drive system. Mazda’s drive system makes use of either a 2.5L inline four-cylinder or a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission however Mazda has stated that the gearbox will be more responsive. The newly updated 2022 Mazda CX-5 will grant owners better handling and traction which will improve the driving experience. Mazda will also be improving the CX-5’s suspension and frame. By making the frame more rigid the CX-5 will have reduced noise and vibrations which will make for a quieter cabin.
Mazda CX-5 Gets New Styling
Mazda will also be updating the styling and visuals of the 2022 Mazda CX-5. The compact crossover will receive slight changes to its bodywork and interior cabin. These changes will enhance the CX-5’s aesthetics and add to its elegance. The LED headlights will become more distinct and the grille more prominent due to wings that extend outwards toward the headlights. The lower front fascia looks to be smoother as does the rear LED taillights. New wheels will also be included in the visual styling update. Plastic cladding around the wheels will be replaced with body-colored pieces. For its higher-end trims, Mazda will be providing a bit more elegant styling such as a gloss-black exterior. Inside the 2022 Mazda CX-5, owners will note red accents stitched into the interior. New seats will be more supportive and there will be several drive-mode settings instead of the single-sport mode. Mazda is providing 2022 Mazda CX-5 owners with a more refined vehicle. The compact SUV looks like it will maintain its popularity as consumers get a glimpse of the elegant crossover.
