A Dive Into the 2024 Mazda CX-30

So, What’s New for the Mazda CX-30? 

In addition to the Carbon Turbo trim the entire Mazda family attained, another notable update for the 2024 model year is the standard inclusion of a 10.25-inch infotainment screen for turbocharged trims. The larger screen comes standard with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and wireless phone charging. Previously, there were no touchscreen capabilities for the CX-30’s infotainment system, but the new display allows touch control while engaging the phone-mirroring systems.

The 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus trim includes the Cruising and Traffic Support system, a combination of adaptive cruise control and active lane centering. It’s similar to an autonomous driving system but not quite there yet.

How About Those Engines? 

There are two engine options available to the CX-30. First, the standard engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that generates 191 horsepower and 186 pounds-feet of torque. On the other hand, the 2.5 Turbo trims are powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder that yields up to 250 hp and 320 pounds-feet of torque. Both engines pair to a six-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard.

Standard and Available Features 

Mazda’s i-Activsense safety technology comes included in the CX-30, but only some systems are available for some trims. The CX-30’s standard features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and lane departure steering assist. Additionally, the 2024 model year now comes with new standard features such as blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear-seat alert. Higher trim levels offer additional safety features such as traffic sign recognition, a head-up display, a 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, and rear emergency braking.
