Mazda President Tom Donnelly

I just heard some exciting news! Mazda North American Operations is appointing Tom Donnelly as their new President & CEO. Donnelly is currently the Senior Vice President of Retail Operations and will be leading the company’s operations in the region. These changes to MNAO’s leadership team will go into effect on April 1, 2023. It will be interesting to see how the company evolves under Donnelly’s leadership.

Wow, it looks like there are some big changes happening at Mazda North American Operations! I just found out that Jeff Guyton, the current President & CEO, will be taking on a new role as Mazda Motor Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer and a Representative Director in Hiroshima, Japan. This change will happen after the annual meeting of shareholders in June 2023. However, Guyton will still be overseeing operations in North America, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Colombia markets. Meanwhile, Tom Donnelly will be taking on the role of President & CEO at MNAO and will report to Guyton. It will be interesting to see how these changes will affect the company moving forward.

“Tom has played a key role in the growth of MNAO over the last 15 years. He has greatly progressed the Mazda brand in the U.S. while also improving the overall business operations and relationships with our dealer network.”

-Mazda’s Chief Financial Officer, Jeff Guyton

“As MNAO continues to show year-over-year sales growth, I am thrilled to continue this momentum and focus on not only our product, but also our people.”

-Mazda President and CEO, Tom Donnelley

I just learned that there have been some recent changes at Mazda North American Operations. Masahiro Moro, who currently serves as Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer, has been appointed as the new President and CEO. Before his current role, Moro was the Chairman and CEO of North American Operations. Additionally, Jeff Guyton, who is the current President & CEO, will be taking on a new role as Mazda Motor Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer and a Representative Director in Japan. However, Guyton will still be overseeing operations in North America. Tom Donnelly will be stepping into the role of President & CEO at MNAO and will report to Guyton. It will be interesting to see how these changes will impact the company in the future.

It has been announced that there will be some additional executive changes at Mazda North American Operations effective April 1, 2023. Ryuichi Umeshita will continue in his role as Executive Vice President and Assistant to the President, but will now also oversee Mazda’s sales operations in Canada, Mexico, and Colombia, as well as manufacturing operations in the region. Theresa Barrera will become Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Tim Manning will become Senior Vice President of Retail Operations overseeing U.S. vehicle sales, aftersales, and U.S. regional office operations, and Stefan Meisterfeld will become Vice President of Strategic Planning. Mazda North American Operations is headquartered in Irvine, California, and manages the sales, marketing, parts, and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Colombia through approximately 795 dealers. Operations in Canada, Mexico, and Colombia are each managed by separate Mazda entities.
