Mazda to Offer New Rhodium White Premium Paint Option

Mazda will be offering a new premium paint option called Rhodium White for its larger product line. The Japanese automaker developed this new paint color as a way to bring a more elevated aesthetic to its lineup. Recently, Mazda stated that it wanted to raise its lineup into a higher luxury class. With this new color option, Mazda will be able to elevate the style and design of its future vehicles. Vehicles receiving this new paint option include the all-new Mazda CX-70 as well as the Mazda CX-90. One of the more recent releases was the Mazda CX-60 which is touted as the most powerful Mazda SUV yet. It will also receive the new color scheme. New Premium Paint Option: Rhodium White

Mazda recently announced a new premium paint option called Rhodium White. This new paint color will be available for the 2022 Mazda CX-60 and later the all-new CX-70 and CX-90. Mazda developed this new premium paint color as a way to elevate its lineup. As of late, the Japanese automaker has been aiming to raise its entire lineup into a higher luxury class. This new Rhodium White color seems to be one of the first methods of achieving this. About the new color, Mazda stated in a press release,

“Mazda believes color is a crucial part of what gives shape to a vehicle, and thus we are focusing efforts on developing colors that accentuate a dynamic and delicate expression via the Kodo – Soul of Motion design theme.”

Mazda is known for its Kodo design which provides a unique sense of style and aesthetic to its vehicles. With the Rhodium White color, Mazda had stated that it was inspired by Japanese aesthetics of simplistic beauty. Doing away with any unnecessary colors or elements, the Rhodium White “accentuates the shadows on the surface of the vehicle, complimenting its metallic texture.” Mazda utilized a process called Takuminuri which allowed them to produce an expressive color that uses only three layers: clear, reflective, and color. Mazda has stated that this new Rhodium White color also helps reduce carbon emissions by using resources more efficiently. This aligns with the automaker’s desire to reduce its total carbon emissions at all its factories. 

Those looking forward to the new Rhodium White premium color will have the option of selecting it with the new 2022 Mazda CX-60. Other than the CX-60, the other vehicles receiving this new color include the CX-70 and CX-90 which will become available later in the fall of 2022.
