Jacques Flynn Promoted to Senior Director of Mazda Design America: Leading Innovation in Automotive Design
Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) is excited to announce the promotion of Jacques Flynn to the position of Senior Director, Mazda Design America (MDA). In this capacity, Flynn will oversee all design endeavors associated with Mazda Design in North America. With a wealth of experience within Mazda, Flynn has cultivated strong relationships within Mazda Design and its Marketing team, positioning the company to continue its leadership in automotive design and brand development.
Flynn brings a rich background in automotive design to his new role. Previously, he served as Brand Style Director at Mazda Design America from 2022 to 2023 and as Lead Exterior Designer from 2006 to 2017. During these appointments, he spearheaded projects that significantly influenced the future direction of Mazda’s design and brand identity, while also supporting marketing initiatives at MNAO. Among his notable accomplishments are providing creative direction for global photo shoots for CX-90 and CX-70, as well as overseeing their worldwide debuts. Additionally, Flynn played a pivotal role in the design of the current fourth generation MX-5 and led the design efforts for Mazda’s DPI race car, the RT24-P.
