The 2023 Mazda 3 is offered in a sedan and hatchback variation. Both versions offer impressive versatility and offer an engaging driving experience. Over the years, Mazda has steadily improved the Mazda 3, adding power boosts and package upgrades to increase performance. While Mazda has been keen on updating its entire lineup, the Japanese automaker has also worked on several new SUVs like the CX-70 and CX-90. Mazda has also been eyeing new hybrid technology to improve fuel efficiency and performance. Although there are new ventures on the horizon for Mazda, we thought we’d highlight the 2023 Mazda 3 and detail three reasons why consumers should still consider it.

1) Driving Experience

One of the first reasons to consider the 2023 Mazda 3 is for the driving experience. Owners of the Mazda 3 can opt for either a 191 horsepower 2.5L engine or a 250 horsepower turbocharged 2.5L engine. While the turbo 2.5L is not necessary, it gives owners more agility and acceleration. Equipped with it, the Mazda 3 sees a 0-60 mph time of 5.6 seconds and handles exceptionally well both on the open road and in cities. Driver assist features like Traffic Jam Assist also help drivers remain engaged and in control even while driving in heavy traffic. Thanks to Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control Plus system, the Mazda 3 also sees a balanced weight transfer which helps with cornering.

2) Infotainment

The second reason to consider the Mazda 3 is its infotainment system. The sedan/hatchback comes equipped with an updated 8.8-inch infotainment display. The system now features a real touchscreen, making its controls easy and simple to use. The display has a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility. There’s also a 12-speaker Bose stereo system and SiriusXM for entertainment.

3) Carbon Edition

Finally, the Mazda 3 is offered with a unique Carbon Edition trim. This trim equips the Mazda 3 with a Polymetal Gray paint exterior and a red leather interior. The sedan/hatchback rides on 18-inch black alloy wheels, complementing the vehicle’s aesthetic. As for pricing, the base Mazda 3 starts at an MSRP of $22,550 (plus destination fee), so the Carbon Edition, which is $27,200 (plus destination fee), is not priced much higher. Overall, it’s an affordable trim that adds to the luxury feel of the 2023 Mazda 3.
