The Mazda CX-60’s Interior is Luxurious

Mazda progressively unleashes new details about the CX-60 crossover, and for a great reason, since the crossover will come to light on March 8th (2022). The Mazda crossover is long-awaited because of its rear-wheel-drive platform. The soft off-roader is the bridge to the Japanese automaker’s upstream transition. Furthermore, there was a sneak peek of the interior, and it’s more than worthy of the conversation. 

At first glance, the CX-60’s cabin design is influenced by Japanese design trends. The Japanese automaker detailed that the designer’s inspiration derived from Ma. Ma is a name that signifies “the calm and dignified beauty of empty space.” Kaichô, “the harmony which comes from mixing different materials and textures.” Lastly, Musubu, “the uniquely Japanese way of blending textiles.”

The materials that enclose the CX-60 include maple woof, leather, bright accents, and, most importantly, Japanese textiles. Mazda’s choice in enriching the CX-60’s interior with its rich culture proves that the automaker already stands out in a competitive premium space. 

Expect to see the CX-60 welcome Mazda’s stylish Kodo design but with a twist. The CX-60 inherits rear-wheel-drive, and spy shots from November 2021 revealed proportions that were set accordingly. The hood is long, and the dash-to-axle ratio is peculiar for the SUV segment. The front bumper breeds some familiarity with its shield-shaped grille linked to the headlights with thin strips of LEDs. 

The Mazda CX-60’s power derives from the gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid powertrain, which comprises the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. The 4-cylinder engine yields at least 300-horsepower. 

Mazda will reveal the CX-60 by March 8th (2022), and its seating capacity will increase under a new name and a bigger model, the CX-80. Unfortunately, reports claim that the CX-60 and CX-80 will not make it to the US. However, the States will receive a larger dynamic duo, the CX-70, and CX-90; they will come to life on the same platform as the CX-60 and CX-80.
