The Mazda CX-5 Sells More Than Any Other Compact SUV in November

This November (2021), the Mazda CX-5 took a downtrend compared to prior highs. However, even with a reduction, the CX-5 sold 10,509 units topping the Subaru Outback (10,454) and the Subaru Forester (3,719). 

Subaru confirmed the Forester’s November deliveries, and the Senior Vice President of Sales, Jeff Walters, stated, “Alongside our retailers, we’re working hard to get vehicles to consumers amid the ongoing production shortage as the demand for Subaru remains high.”

Outselling smaller manufacturers isn’t the only thing Mazda is doing. For example, the Mazda CX-5 surpassed the Ford Escape (9,420). Ford did not provide any comment or confirmation on the sales for the Ford Escape. However, Ford did shift the focus on the Mustang Mach-E’s deliveries which reached 3,088 units in November.   

Although the Mazda CX-5 excelled throughout November, the CX-5 left enough room for the newer Mazda CX-30 to attain a whopping 66 percent sales increase of 4,404 deliveries. Similarly, another Mazda showstopper, the CX-9, posted a 17 percent sales increase versus last November (2020). But, Mazda didn’t stop there, distributing 55 units of the showstopping all-new battery-electric MX-30. 

Mazda’s sales have continued to rise over the past year. The automaker’s year-to-year sales reached 313,334 vehicles, totaling an increase of almost 27 percent compared to last year.
