The 2023 Mazda CX-9 Attains some Alterations

The 2023 Mazda CX-9 is a three-row SUV that’s stepping into the future without a past trim from the 2022 model. That’s right, ladies and gents, the CX-9’s entry-level Sports trim is no longer. Instead, the Touring trim is the new base model for the Mazda SUV; therefore, the CX-9 holds a new starting price that exceeds the $40,000 range. 

We promise there are more alterations from the CX-9 than a price hike. New standard features for the three-row SUV include:

• Second-row captain’s chairs.
• A sunroof.
• LED foglights.
• Black/sand-colored leather seats.
• A wireless phone charger.

Anyone looking upstream to the CX-9 Touring Plus trim holds a starting price of $42,775 and will receive a three-seat bench instead of the captain’s chair. However, anyone who desires the captain chairs instead of the bench can upgrade at no additional cost. 

The top-tier Signature trim experienced a slight price increase of $49,735. In addition, the CX-9 reveals three premium paint options: Soul Red, Crystal Mettalic, and Machine gray Mettalic for $595. Further, Snowflake White and Pearl Mica are available for an additional $395.

The standard for all trim levels, the Mazda CX-9 comes to life through a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine. The same engine exists inside the Mazda SUVs’ predecessor, the 2022 variation. Additionally, the CX-9 will also maintain its 250 horsepower output. Furthermore, the Mazda SUV features a six-speed automatic transmission plus the Japanese automaker’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system. 

Most importantly, the Mazda SUV will reach dealerships sometime in the following weeks (Fall 2022).
