Mazda’s Pricing Shake-Up: the Automaker Makes Adjustments For Latest SUVs
In recent updates, it has come to light that the 2025 Mazda CX-70 is priced identically to its CX-90 counterpart, signaling a deliberate adjustment made by Mazda to align the pricing of the larger three-row SUV with its new two-row counterpart. Notably, several trim levels of the 2024 CX-90 have undergone significant price reductions ranging from $3,000 to $4,000, although the plug-in-hybrid variant sees price increases ranging from $500 to $2,500 depending on the trim level.
The most substantial price drop is observed in the highest trim powered by the 280-hp version of the turbocharged 3.3-liter inline-six engine, the Turbo Premium Plus, which sees a reduction of $4,050, now priced at $50,275. Similarly, the top Turbo S models in the lineup, featuring the 340-hp version of this engine, experience a $4,000 reduction: the Turbo S Premium now priced at $53,825, and the Turbo S Premium Plus now at $57,325. The base Turbo Select model sees a reduction of $1,750, bringing its price under $40,000 to $39,220. Other models witness price drops ranging from $1,900 to $3,000 compared to before.
However, the 323-hp plug-in-hybrid version exhibits less favorable pricing adjustments, with starting costs increasing compared to previous prices. The base PHEV Preferred sees a $2,500 increase, now starting at $51,320, while the better-equipped PHEV Premium rises by $1,500 to $55,775, and the top PHEV Premium Plus sees a $500 increase, now priced at $58,825.
