Mazda’s August (2023) Sales Reports Are In

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has reported a noteworthy increase in car sales in August 2023, marking the 11th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. The company sold a total of 30,174 vehicles in August, which is an 18.7% increase compared to the same month last year. The year-to-date sales also showed an impressive increase of 27.6% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching a total of 244,586 vehicles sold. This growth is even more impressive given that August had 27 selling days, compared to only 26 in the previous year. Looking at the Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis, the company showed a 14.3% increase.

MNAO’s certified pre-owned (CPO) sales also showed a significant increase of 26% in August 2023, compared to the same month last year, with a total of 5,752 vehicles sold.

The company’s sales highlights for August 2023 include the best-ever August sales of CX-30, with 6,630 vehicles sold, and the best-ever sales of CX-90 PHEV, with 1,700 vehicles sold.

Mazda Canada, Inc. (MCI) also reported a sales increase of 12.8% in August, with a total of 5,364 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales for MCI reached 38,227 vehicles, an increase of 8.9% compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported a sales growth of 8.0% in August 2023, compared to the previous year, with a total of 5,532 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales for MMdM reached 46,340 vehicles, an impressive increase of 79% compared to the same period last year.
