Mazda Unveils All-New 2023 Mazda CX-80

Mazda recently unveiled the all-new 2023 Mazda CX-80. The three-row SUV will launch in Europe, with an American equivalent coming later in the form of the CX-90. The Japanese automaker has been on a roll lately with its new releases, including the rugged CX-50 and hybrid CX-60. The latest release, the 2023 CX-80, is set to mirror the CX-60 in performance. The difference, however, is that the CX-80 will be much larger. While Mazda has not released many details about the all-new CX-80, we can assume that the three-row SUV will feature a similar platform as the CX-60 and its plug-in hybrid setup. We’ll look at the 2023 Mazda CX-80 and see what else consumers can expect from the large SUV.

 2023 Mazda CX-80 Will Be Larger Version of CX-60 

Mazda recently revealed the all-new 2023 Mazda CX-80. The three-row SUV is set to mirror the plug-in hybrid CX-60 as a larger alternative. Launched in Europe, the CX-80 will serve drivers as a competent and efficient SUV. While Mazda has not revealed much information about the CX-80, we know that the CX-60 will feature a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that’s matched to a 129 kW electric motor. Together, the Mazda CX-60 will offer a total output of 322 horsepower and 369lb-ft of torque.

Combined with a gasoline engine and an electric motor, the CX-60 will be Mazda’s most powerful SUV yet. If the all-new Mazda CX-80 arrives with a similar plug-in hybrid setup, it should offer similar performance standards. The CX-60 also utilizes a rear-wheel drive system. Mazda will most likely offer the CX-80 with both a rear-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive system. The three-row SUV will also use an 8-speed automatic transmission. Those interested in the larger SUV will see the CX-90 come to America. The CX-80 will be available in European markets.

Other qualities consumers can expect from the CX-80 are smooth handling and impressive performance. Mazda’s unique Kinematic Posture Control technology ensures owners have an engaging driving experience. The technology diminishes body roll by applying the brakes when cornering. This gives the SUV more versatility, offering drivers more dynamic control. The Mazda CX-80 will launch in Europe in 2023. A similar version called the Mazda CX-90 will arrive later for American markets.
