The all-new 2023 Mazda CX-50 is almost here. Mazda recently released pricing details and trim information for the new rugged SUV and from what we can see, it looks to be quite affordable. According to Mazda, the 2023 CX-50 will be starting at an MSRP of $28,025 (plus destination fee). Mazda’s vision with the CX-50 was to create a crossover compact SUV that could compete with the likes of Jeep and Subaru. Powered by a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, the CX-50 steps up performance by coming equipped with tough plastic cladding, a high-strength roof rail, and an all-wheel-drive system. We’ll get to the pricing and trim details, but so far, the CX-50 is looking to be an optimal and rather affordable SUV.

Pricing Released for the All-New CX-50

Mazda recently revealed pricing details for the all-new 2023 Mazda CX-50. Starting at an MSRP of $28,025 (plus destination fee), the CX-50 is Mazda’s version of a rugged compact crossover that combines all the loveable parts of a Mazda with the capabilities of an off-roader. The crossover SUV comes equipped with either a naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 or a 2.5L turbocharged engine. The I4 is capable of 187 horsepower while the turbo can achieve 256 horsepower. The CX-50 also comes equipped with Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel-drive system which features several drive modes that can adjust to specific road conditions.

Inside the 2023 Mazda CX-50, owners will find a quality interior inspired by Mazda’s unique Kodo design. On the outside, the crossover SUV features off-road equipment like black plastic cladding on the wheel arches and fascias as well as a roof rail. The CX-50 also has a grille with thick black accents and larger vents on either side.

For those interested in the turbocharged CX-50, they will be looking at a price point of $37, 625 (plus destination fee). The 2023 CX-50 comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, but this turbocharged engine will enhance the crossover’s capabilities immensely. Mazda’s Mi-Drive feature will work alongside the turbo engine to offer modes like sport, offroad, and towing. With specific packages, the 2023 Mazda CX-50 can also tow up to 3,500 pounds. A hybrid model may also be on the way. For now, we’ll be paying attention to the CX-50’s release date because the crossover SUV looks very promising.
