Mazda Acknowldges Bob Pan

Bob Pan, the Senior Director of Sales Planning and Supply Chain Innovation at Mazda North American Operations (MNAO), has been recognized as a 2023 Automotive News Rising Star. This program honors exceptional automotive executives under the age of 45 who are based in the United States and have demonstrated the talent and dedication required to become future leaders in the industry. The award recognizes leaders in manufacturing, supply, mobility, and service, and Bob Pan is definitely a deserving recipient of this prestigious title.

It’s worth noting that Bob Pan started his career at Mazda back in 2008. During his time there, he has made significant contributions to the Sales Planning department and has transformed the way Mazda approaches its business. He has encouraged the company to be more adaptable in its incentive deployment and to focus on putting its vehicles in markets with the most potential. Thanks to his efforts, Mazda has set three consecutive annual market share records since 2019. It’s clear that Bob Pan is a talented and innovative leader who has made a real impact on the automotive industry.

Before joining the Sales Planning department, Bob Pan worked in Mazda’s Strategic Planning department, where he played a key role in developing and implementing the company’s value creation strategy, known as Brand Value Management. This new direction required Mazda to redefine its core beliefs and set a goal to increase both volume and transaction price – a difficult feat that few other brands have achieved. However, with Bob Pan’s help, Mazda has been able to successfully execute this strategy and establish itself as a leading player in the automotive industry. His contributions to the company’s success are truly impressive!
